“Fight Song”: The Story Behind the Song. Rachel Platten’s “Fight Song” has become an anthem for people struggling though a difficult time–it is played in hospital wards, for example, and in rehab centers. Although Platten is pleased that the song encourages others, she wrote it to encourage herself.

If students struggle to form their own definition of literature, tell them to make one based on the words in the word cloud.
