30 paź 2023 · The New Hanover County Tax Department has begun mailing property tax bills. Property owners should receive their bill(s) by the middle of August. These taxes are due on September 1, 2024, but can be paid without interest until January 6, 2025.

Real property is permanently listed in New Hanover County. Therefore, you are not required to list real property annually. You must still list new improvements, however. Any improvements made in the previous year must be listed during the regular listing period, which is the month of January.
