El Yunque Trail. Area Status: Open. El Yunque Trail takes you up all the way to one of the highest points in the Forest: El Yunque Peak. This trail is accessed through the Caimitillo or Mt. Britton Spur trails. As the elevation changes you can observe different trees.

This is a very scenic hike with incredible views from the peak. From the top, you can get a great view of the peaks and valleys of the National Forest, see the Atlantic Ocean to the north, San Juan to the west, and the Caribbean Sea to the south. The trail is well-marked and well-maintained.
