The SpectrumTV app works great on my Apple mobile devices (iPhone and iPad). Unfortunately, it is very buggy on AppleTV 4K. Why it works on iOS and not TvOS is a mystery.
the usual complaint is like yours every other app works but the Spectrum App. or the Football game on sunday channel doesn't work but other channels does. Since the App update (with the calls I get) people can't log on, or when changing channels it freezes.

I've been using the Spectrum TV app not long after they've acquired Time Warner Cable and their announcement of offering all-digital TV service. The app at first had been finicky, as you've mentioned, but it has improved significantly since.
Spectrum released their app for TV service before it was ready. If you speak with a tech support agent who prefers integrity, they’ll admit the app has been a problem for them. And they want us to subscribe cellular service?
