20 mar 2023 · Microsoft Excel provides a variety of ways to manipulate the column width - you can resize columns using the mouse, set the width to a specific number or have it adjusted automatically to accommodate the data.
Using the keyboard shortcut “Autofit Column Width” (Ctrl + Space) will adjust the width of the selected column to the size of the longest entry. Using the keyboard shortcut “Autofit Row Height” (Shift + Space) will adjust the height of the selected row to the size of the tallest entry.
You can manually adjust the column width or row height or automatically resize columns and rows to fit the data.
