The general recommendation is - two or three-flute end mills for soft material (copper, brass, aluminum), four-flute for steel, and five-flute and above for "exotic material" (titanium, inconel, etc.)... or hardened steels. But these are suggestions. You can use a six-flute end mill on aluminum, just don't take a deep cut.

This HSPM1 4-flute carbide end mill has a 0.125 in \ 1/8" cutting diameter, with a 1/8" smooth shank, 1/2" length of cut (LOC), 0.008" chamfer, and a 1-1/2" overall length. It is TiAlN coated, and made to cut steel, stainless steel, and high-temp. alloys, but is capable of cutting some grades of cast iron and hardened metals.
