I finally got around to watching the new Coda cut of GF3 on Blu-Ray last night. Coppola appears before the film as an optional intro and basically says the beginning and ending are different. It’s been awhile since I saw the original cut, so the beginning doesn’t seem different to me. I’m sure it is, but it feels like the same to me.
Watch Coda. It's the better version. If The Godfather 1 and 2 are 9 out of ten movies, the original version of Part 3 is a 5. The Coda edit takes it to a 7. Still not as good as the first two but a good watch.
