23 paź 2020 · Carbon isotopes, 14 C and 13 C, in atmospheric CO 2 are changing in response to fossil fuel emissions and other human activities. Future simulations using different SSPs show continued changes in isotopic ratios that depend on fossil fuel emissions and, for 13 C, BECCS.
1 gru 2019 · TDLAS measures the mixing ratios of stable isotopes of carbon dioxide in the air (e.g., the isotopologues, 12 C 16 O 2, 13 C 16 O 2 and 16 O 12 C 18 O) by comparing the infrared absorption of sample and reference gases in a specific absorption line of the spectrum (Santos et al., 2012).
29 paź 2023 · We resolve analytical issues and present new carbon isotope ratios of CO 2 in single fluid inclusions with an error better than 2.5‰ (all errors are 1σ unless stated otherwise), providing a...
Instrumentation for the continuous measurement of stable isotopes in atmospheric trace substances such as carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), and also water vapor (H2O), has grown tremendously in the last decade.
17 lis 2023 · Isotopic measurements provide valuable information about the origin of greenhouse gases — as carbon dioxide levels increase, there is a corresponding shift towards lighter isotopic composition similar to that of fossil fuels.
15 kwi 2018 · This research provides a fundamental analysis tool for determining gas carbon isotope composition (δ 13 C values) quantitatively by using Micro-Laser Raman spectroscopy. Experiment of results demonstrates that this method has the potential for obtaining δ 13 C values in natural CO 2 gas reservoirs.
1 sty 2004 · In this chapter we describe two different methods for measuring carbon and oxygen isotopes in atmospheric CO2 and a method for measur- ing carbon isotopes in atmospheric CH4. The first method for CO2 uses traditional dual inlet Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry (IRMS) with cryogenic extraction on fairly large (~450 mL) air samples.
