The SWITRS Statewide Summary is a tool for accessing and mapping statewide crash and injury data from the California Statewide Integrated Traffic Records System (SWITRS). The following data can be queried and viewed in tables: Fatal and injury crashes (overall); Fatalities and injuries (overall);
The accuracy of the data is subject to reporting levels of the law enforcement agencies supplying the crash reports. The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) estimates that it receives all processable crash reports for fatal crashes, injury crashes, and property-damage-only crashes occurring on state highways. This data excludes
