I had a sneaking suspicion though, and after contacting customer support at Audible, they said they had refunded me nearly all the money that had been taken from me over the years without my knowledge or consent, and that they had cancelled my Audible membership.

It seems if you subscribe originally on an iphone, you have to cancel the membership through settings --> subscriptions. I was pulling my hair out as the desktop site and amazon site didn't have a cancel button or link.
