10 gru 2020 · (Camden, NJ) – The City of Camden has released its first ever Parks and Open Space Plan, the culmination of a collaborative effort that engaged over 500 community members and stakeholders over twelve months in developing a vision for the future of the City’s park system.
The City of Camden is blessed with an outstanding and vast park system. Each of these exceptional open spaces are unique, providing residents with beauty, and quality recreational opportunities.
Programs like CONNECT THE LOTS, Get Healthy Camden, and The Cooper Foundations’ Camden Health and Athletic Association provide opportunities in these spaces for organized sports, recreation and arts and culture in the city’s green spaces.
This is a roadmap to put safe, quality outdoor spaces within a 10-minute walk of every Camden citizen while absorbing stormwater and advancing park equity. Read the report.
