In his senior year Mike served as Team Captain and was selected by his teammates as the squad's Most Valuable Wrestler. Upon graduation in 1967, Mike took a position at Bloomington Junior High School where he served one year as the freshman wrestling coach.
6 lut 2020 · Of the famous McAdams wrestling family of Westfield High School in New Jersey, Russ McAdams was on the BYU wrestling team with his two brothers Mick and Ross. Russ, a two time WAC champion became the cougars first All American with a fourth place finish at the 1967 NCAA wrestling championships.
2024 Hall of Fame Inductees. Greg Williams, a legendary figure in Utah wrestling, has made a lasting impact as head coach at Utah Valley University (UVU). Since UVU's full Division I membership in 2009-10, Williams coached 46 NCAA qualifiers, five All-Americans, and eight conference champions.
4 mar 1989 · Wyoming, the defending WAC champion, won three weight championships. Mike Donovan won the first one for the Cowboys beating BYU's Mike Armstrong 4-3 at 134. Meyers won the next championship at the 158 weight. Brian Hagan finished the night for the Cowboys with a 9-6 victory over Mark Willis of BYU. New Mexico won two championships.
