29 kwi 2022 · SACRAMENTO – Starting on May 1, Medi-Cal, California’s health coverage program for low-income individuals and families, is extending eligibility for full coverage to more than 185,000 individuals who are 50 years of age or older, regardless of immigration status.
This initiative, called Older Adult Expansion, is modeled after the Young Adult Expansion, which provided full scope Medi-Cal to young adults 19 through 25, inclusive. See the Department of Health Care Services (DHCS) website for the Young Adult Expansion.
