For starters the malt is aged for up to seven years in a combination of oloroso sherry and bourbon casks. The second, and biggest difference, is that it’s 80% malt.
8 cze 2015 · Overall: Black Bush is probably the most successful inexpensive blended whisky on the market that I’ve had, with the sole exception of Bank Note which wins only because it has a lot more round caramel and stands up to mixing better.

Jak to irlandzka whiskey, bardzo delikatna i jedwabista. Przyjemny zapach, nie uderza alkoholem. Zaskakująco mocny i wyrazisty finisz, biorąc pod uwagę, że to jednak blend i 40%. Świetna whiskey po prostu do picia na codzień. Powiedziałbym, że to nietorfowy konkurent dla Islay Mist. Ocena: 79/100
Bushmills Black Bush Tasting Notes. Black Bush is a premium blend containing an unusually high proportion of malt whiskey (80%) to grain whiskey (20%). The expression became available in the U.S. in 1984. Nose: Gentle citrus nose and raisins. Palate: Raisins, sweet and malty flavor. Adding water does not change the whisky very much.

Below 80 points range for me. Step up from basic irish blends but on par or perhaps below Jameson Black Barrel. Alright but nothing that would get me to switch teams from Scotch.
