BBB complaints usually have merit and they will publish outcomes/corrective actions taken by both parties involved. Sometime they are significant complaints. Sometimes they are unreasonable.

I bought my own tools, even a backhoe and learned how to do it. I've always said "I can do it wrong for free" but it always comes out beautiful.

I know people mostly complain on the internet but I see a lot of positive posts on Reddit about other things so I guess I’d just expect to see some of those here as well. How does due diligence differ during a new build than existing?
Reported them to the FCC, the State, and the BBB was resolved within 36 hours. I continued my BBB complaint though (They tried to offer me free HBO if I dropped it, pretty sure that was illegal though now that I look back at it)
I filed a complaint to BBB, a manager contacted me, offered me a newer model laptop with win 8 (the one I ordered was win 7) and a next day shipping for the same price I paid for the one that was in sale. I've never talked to anyone from BBB, but somehow businesses really scared of that name.
I had an issue with T-mobile a while back. They have an F rating with the BBB, and don't seem to care if they get more negative reviews. I filed a complaint, and eventually got a call from an executive customer service Rep who made no effort to understand my situation and yelled at me.
