Bloom has been reported at several locations in the south east part of the lake. Warnings are issued when cell counts exceed 70,000 cells/mL. NHDES advises lake users to not wade or swim in the water during a warning. Please also keep pets and livestock out.
There will likely be more info this weekend. The fact that they're not letting you get to your camp 6 hours after it was reported is interesting and mildly concerning that it was something serious. Water is still pretty cold. Hopefully it wasn't a drowning or anything. I know that happened in Winny last year.
