The JPHS preserves and promotes the rich history of Jamaica Plain. In summer, we offer weekly historic walking tours. We also sponsor monthly events. All JPHS activities are free and open to the public. Our website provides a comprehensive source of information about JP history with articles, images and collections of maps and yearbooks.
Welcome to the new Montpelier Vermont Historical Society website. We are a group of people committed to resurrecting the Society in a new and innovative form in order to share and collaborate with everyone interested in Montpelier’s fascinating past, no matter where you live. The old Montpelier Historical Society ceased operations in 2010.
The Vermont Historical Society Museum provides a fairly extensive review of the history of the fourteenth state. I expected the museum to consist of a few small rooms, but it's actually larger than anticipated.
