1 sty 2020 · Hemodialysis with a dialysate flow rate of 700 mL/min should be considered in selected patients not achieving adequacy despite extended treatment times and optimized blood flow rate.
The National Kidney Foundation’s Kidney Disease Outcomes Quality Initiative (KDOQI) has provided evidence-based guidelines for hemodialysis vascular access since 1996. Since the last update in 2006, there has been a great accumulation of new evidence and sophistication in the guidelines process.
9 wrz 2015 · Introduction. Modern dialysis devices such as the Fresenius FMC 5008 allow the relationship between the flow rates of blood Q B and dialysate Q D to be fixed at a set ratio (e.g. Q D =1.2 Q B oder Q D =1.5 Q B).
4 cze 2024 · A higher dialysate flow rate (800 ml/min) increased single-pool Kt/V by 0.08 [95% confidence interval (CI) 0.05–0.10, P < .00001] and URR by 3.38 (95% CI 1.97–4.78, P < .00001) compared with a dialysate flow rate of 500 ml/min. Clinically relevant outcomes including symptoms, cognition, physical function and mortality were lacking and ...
25 lip 2017 · Current Hemodialysis Techniques. Needle gauge size for a hemodialysis treatment range from 17-gauge needles for slower blood flow rates (250 mL/min) and initiating dialysis with a new arteriovenous fistula, up to 14-gauge needles for blood flow rates in excess of 450 mL/min. Dialysis adequacy will dictate needle gauge size and blood flow rates.
In this prospective, before-after study, the blood flow rate (BFR) of 63 maintenance HD patients was increased by 100 mL/min to a maximum BFR of 400 mL/min to determine the impact on patient tolerability and urea reduction ratio (URR) of an increased BFR.
The extraction ratio is dependent on blood (Qb) and dialysate (Qd) flow rates, the dialyzer membrane, and the intrinsic properties of the solute, such as molecular size and protein binding. The extraction ratio is high in traditional thrice-weekly hemodialysis (HD) and lower in short daily HD.
