Had to call blink support to get "no subscription" install to completely install (deleted initial account and started a new one). It seemed to record video to the usb stick on motion alerts but replaying them on my phone was more miss than hit.
Blink customer service is the reason I am switching to another system. Flat out customer service sucks NO return calls , no email response. They don't notify you when an item is no longer updatable . Date of experience: October 06, 2024
I bought a blink a few months ago and was worried I’d have to keep paying a subscription when the free trial ended, but you don’t need it with a sync module. That’s what I read when I bought it.
I gambled a bit on the Blink and have been fairly happy with them, but given that the app kinda sucks, I'd definitely be researching other options if there was a subscription fee. Reply reply
19 lip 2020 · Absolutely rubbish customer service, like other reviews have said that you buy the rechargeable batteries and charger for my 2 doorbells and all of a sudden, they say your unit is out of warranty, and suggest you buy a new camera, the subscription should cover all that.
