In February 2020, Black & Pink National opened our first Lydon House in Omaha, Nebraska, named after Black & Pink National Founder, Jason Lydon. Lydon House offers housing and wrap around support services to LGBTQIA2S+ people who are impacted by incarceration.

Prior to Black & Pink National, Tena served as a founding member of REVEL, a cornerstone of the Omaha LGBTQIA2S+ inclusive-space scene. With Heartland Pride, she created space for Omaha to invite in national talent. Most recently, Tena’s work with Inclusive Communities led to more accessible educational programming.
Black and Pink is a United States prison abolitionist organization supporting LGBTQ and HIV-positive prisoners. The group organizes a pen pal program, distributes a prisoner-written newspaper to its incarcerated members, provides court accompaniment, and educates people on their rights .
21 cze 2023 · Black and Pink has purchased an abandoned church in North O, connected to a series of duplexes, which would provide housing to young LGBTQIA+ folks who have been impacted by the legal system. The housing would be for those 19-24, with the full campus being available for 14-24.
