I think I have found out how to do it. To remove ads from notifications and Action Center, do the following: Open Settings. Click on System. Click on Notifications & actions. Under Notifications, turn off the Get tips, tricks, and suggestions as you use Windows toggle switch.

After using bing and edge app side to side in iOS, I realise that I actually liked the bing app better (mainly due to the occasionally slow keyboard for the edge app). The only thing that’s preventing me from switching is that the edge app has a built in adblocker option.
