Eta Persei (η Persei, abbreviated Eta Per, η Per), is a binary star and the 'A' component of a triple star system (the 'B' component is the star HD 237009) [8] in the constellation of Perseus. Parallax measurements by the Gaia spacecraft imply that it is 1,000 is light-years away from Earth. [1]
Perseus contains two Messier objects – Messier 34 (M34, NGC 1039) and Messier 76 (M76, Little Dumbbell Nebula, NGC 650 & NGC 651) – and has six stars with confirmed planets. The brightest star in the constellation is Mirfak, Alpha Persei, with an apparent magnitude of 1.79.

10 wrz 2020 · Gamma Persei is a binary star located at around 243 light-years away from us. It has an apparent magnitude of 2.93, making it the fourth brightest member of the Perseus constellation. The primary star, Gamma Persei A, has around 270% of our Sun’s mass, and it is cooler than our Sun, having temperatures of around 5,170 K.

Rather than being an intrinsically variable star, it is an eclipsing binary. Other notable star systems in Perseus include X Persei, a binary system containing a neutron star, and GK Persei, a nova that peaked at magnitude 0.2 in 1901.
