4 sty 2021 · You can delete the application which means you don't have the installer anymore. If you wish to upgrade later on, you'll have to re-download it. Until you upgrade, the red dot will stay indicating that there is an upgrade available. I sure hope you don't have just 18GB of free space on your MBA.
13 lis 2020 · Once the files were down downloading, I had to use the installer and pick a drive, but it said I need an additional 26 gigabytes to finish the download. Right now I have 9GB. Since I can't delete any files, I want to delete the Big Sur files as they take up 12GB that I want to keep, since I'm not going to upgrade.
18 kwi 2015 · Deleting or uninstalling an app removes it from your Mac and makes the storage space it was using available for other items. You can do this from Launchpad or the Finder. Use Launchpad to delete apps that were downloaded from the App Store
I downloaded the 12GB file to install Big Sur on my Macbook Pro. It cannot install for some reason (S.M.A.R.T. error), but the 12GB file is sitting somewhere in my hard drive and I cannot find it. For me, this 12GB is pretty valuable since I have limited space and I need to remove it.
12 lis 2020 · The files are downloaded to "Install macOS Big Sur.app" in /Applications. To remove the files, just go to /Applications and do a "sudo rm -rf Install\ macOS\ Big\ Sur.app/".
