I highly recommend playing the ps1 version of innocent sin, instead of the psp version. The game is already the easiest persona game, but the psp version makes it even easier (all enemies will do 1-10 points of damage against you, and the only possible way to die is through instant death skills).

With Final Fantasy VII-IX, amazing Grandia, the awesome Lunar games, and my personal favorite RPG, The Legend of Dragoon, I think I've had a good bit more RPG fun on the PS1 than I have on the PS2. Reply reply
Star Ocean: the Second Story is an amazing RPG for PS1, it's by far the best in the series. It's a fantasy/Sci-Fi RPG with an active battle system. I beat the entire game about 20 times before I even found out there's an optional dungeon after the main story.
