24 lis 2009 · It's getting colder outside and I won't be able to paint any bodies outside, does anyone have any ideas for creating an indoor paint booth? Right now I will be using spray cans to paint but soon will be investing in an airbrush and compressor.

16 lip 2008 · The fan should be mounted on the rear of the booth unless you intend to install an angular baffle inside the booth, in which case you can mount the fan on top of the booth at the back. A rear-mounted fan will provide more laminar airflow throughout the booth.

It's important to realize what happens when you vent to the top of the booth. First, you're working against gravity; that means you'll need higher airflow rates for proper ventilation. Secondly, the updraft pulls the atomized paint away from the part, requiring higher spraying pressures to compensate.
27 cze 2021 · It works well. The air column is about 3 feet to the ceiling, then about 25 feet to the exterior. I can feel it draw across my hands in the booth and fumes are zero issue. I spray Tamiya mostly with a lacquer based thinner (Mr Color Leveling Thinner) and some water based acrylics like Vallejo.
