Looking to get a nice CRT TV for retro gaming (mostly n64 using S-video), and trying to figure which brand is best for this. Some of the brands I've seen posted for my area are Panasonic, Magnavox, Sanyo, and Durabrand.
I wanted to make a post about what to look for and what to avoid when looking for a CRT TV for retro gaming. If you are new to CRTs, it can be overwhelming to figure out all the different brands, types, and connections.

As far as the CRT theres some new games like doom, doom eternal and the halo games that have settings for 4:3 and look amazing. Personally mine has mostly seen the most action playing YouTube videos as I game on the other, or playing Half-life and rollercoaster tycoon
Do not get a CRT TV for PC gaming because it will only do 60hz and one of the main benefits are the higher refresh rates which CRT monitors offer.
