I've found shaking it up and down while grinding to make a lot more even grinds. I don't mind blade grinders. I'll still be using one myself for a few more days (eagerly counting down to Monday when my shipment arrives). It's still much better than buying pre-ground.
Before I bought a burr grinder, I would angle the blade grinder and shake it slightly during the pulse. Heavier, larger pieces would move toward the blade and lighter, smaller pieces toward the lid. It worked ok, but I could get a decent grind with practice. Still, a burr grinder is the way to go.
I love the fact that you have video evidence of using a blade grinder and pulling a great shot, yet still there a people saying it can't be any good and you must have a burr grinder if you want to make espresso. Keep on doing what you're doing and enjoy your coffee.
