29 mar 2020 · Everything is great accept the webcam issue (all sold out in the shops etc). I have pulled out an old xbox 360 Kinect and have had some success with installing it. I have the drivers installed: and can get my ugly mug to appear through OpenNI Virtual CAM. Windows 10 pics up the mic and I can record sound etc. But it does not detect a camera.

This setup works great for most desktop applications, such as Zoom, Skype, Windows' integrated camera app, etc. Discord seems to see Kinect Cam as an option for use as a webcam yet refuses to switch to it when selected, but whatever.
19 maj 2018 · It has always been possible to do such thing with Kinect in Windows 10, but now it’s easier than ever. All you have to do is to go to the Device Manager, find your Kinect device, check for driver updates, and you’re good to go.
22 paź 2023 · Windows operating system: Currently, using Kinect as a webcam is only supported on Windows operating systems. Kinect for Windows SDK: Download and install the Kinect for Windows Software Development Kit (SDK) from the Microsoft website.
