My struggle in the purchase has been with the warranty and whether or not to spend more to go through Best Buy. Currently, I can get the CX through Best Buy for 4850 with the 5 year replacement warranty and tax.
The agent requested information about that warranty claim but I couldn't provide anything, but he went ahead and requested photos and my purchase receipt from Best Buy. After I submitted them, he had a local tech sent out and the panel was replaced within a week.
I think you'd find a big difference between what Best Buy would cover and what your warranty will cover. Also, it'd probably be safe to assume that you'd have an easier exchange experience with Best Buy than with a seller on Amazon.

1 sty 2019 · There is zero chance Best Buy can retroactively change the terms of the warranty AFTER you buy it. They can change the terms for future purchasers but if you buy the warranty and at that time it covers burn in, they cannot change the rules. You relied on those terms when you purchased the warranty.
