The laptop was purchased at Best Buy in 2023. I missed the warranty date by a month. So i decided to just pay geek squad to diagnose the issue i was having. $85.00 and if anything was wrong that deposit would go towards repairs.
Since Best Buy has Geek Squad, it’s the expectation that we help the client figure their tech out just because it was purchased at Best Buy; without paying for the service itself on top of it.

If it's even something they can fix in store. They can't work miracles on super old computers or replace certain hardware/cosmetics, but they can send it to their service center. A good Agent should be asking you probing questions about the issue, and what they recommend for the repair.
