2 cze 2015 · I found that Remington UMC .88-grain JHP ran reliably through my Interarms PPK/S. I assume it did so because the bullet profile is remarkably similar to a full-metal jacket. And another great thing about this ammo is that it's almost as cheap as FMJ range ammunition. and a penchant for the rich and beautiful.

5 lis 2019 · The best self defense ammo seems to be Hornady custom 90 grain XTP. I also like the Gold Dot 90 Grain GDHP but the Hornady XTP has had the most consistent performance reviews in terms of penetration and expansion. The Ft Smith feeds this ammo well. I have the Ft. Smith PPK/S and have not had any feeding issues with these ammos.
1 lip 2019 · From everything I have researched and found shows that the HP's in 380 are iffy at best and if they expand they don't penetrate enough. Yes, I know "Shooting the Bull" has done testing and found the XTP bullets just barely make the 12 inch holly grail depth, which is marginal at best.
Brand new PPKS had over 11 failure to feeds within first 600 rounds with Fiocchi 95gr FMJ. Pistol was clean and well lubricated. Seems like too many malfunctions at a consistent rate to be a break in period. Any suggestions for FMJs? Same! Some of the best shells on the market.

15 kwi 2010 · I use Sellier & Bellot (S&B) .380 FMJ in my PPK/S. It's accurate and reasonably priced, at least it used to be. I haven't had to buy ammunition in quite some time.
For range ammo, mine has been good with just about any decent brass cased 95 grain round nose .380. I've been running Fiocchi Pistol Dynamics FMJ a lot lately. For self defense ammo, I've been running Fiocchi Extrema loaded with 95 grain Hornady XTP's. Make sure you have good magazines!
