  1. The review process can take anywhere from two weeks to several months, but most applicants receive an admissions decision within 6-8 weeks. Our goal every year is to have all decisions transmitted to applicants by late March-early April.

  5. Students are admitted to the program by the Graduate Division of the University of California, Berkeley, on recommendation of the Jurisprudence and Social Policy admissions committee. Applications for entry in Fall 2025 will open in October and will close on December 15, 2024 at 8:59pm PST.

  6. Most law schools will start sending out decisions around 2 months after an application is submitted, but this time may be shorter or longer depending on the school, and the time of year you submitted the application.

  7. The application filing period is October 1November 30. All applications must be submitted by November 30. Berkeley does not offer application for early admission or early decision.
