I think it has its place, it’s well priced and has a unique design to it. No wonder it’s stuck around for years. That said, if you get the one with the built in amp, it’s on the weaker side. But the 10” DVC paired with a decent sized amp can get some low end going, nothing crazy but just right for a car lacking bass.

11 mar 2011 · I can pick up an 8" bazooka sub tube for $70 on ebay, is it worth it? I am on a very low budget but would love some bass, seems affordable and simple. Also, could I get a decent sub with enclosure and everything for under $100?
2 lip 2008 · To work properly, the box has to be of a specific size and the port also a specific diameter and length to be properly tuned. Because if the tune is too high, you will damage the sub. Vented boxes lose efficiency below the tuned frequency. This is not something I recommend anyone do to their tubes. A sub is only as good as the box it's in.
