10 maj 2011 · If you want to put either a turbo or supercharger and want to run it at over 6psi, you will need forged internals. I dont think you can get 500whp on 6psi on a stock LT1. Turbos are more efficient, but superchargers have instant power without lag.
Purchase a “Revival” twin-turbo kit from Banks and here’s what you get. Kits are extremely complete down to the last hose clamp. A Banks-prepared twin-turbo big-block Chevrolet pushed the Kehoe, McKinney & Banks Sundowner Corvette to 240.738 mph at Bonneville during the summer of 1981.

(jburnett) In the import world, there are a number of low boost turbo kit's that do not use intercoolers. they are limited to like 6 lbs of boost, but, on some of the higher performance 4 bangers, 6 lbs is about all the 10:1 compression will deal with.
16 gru 2022 · Twin Turbo LT1 build. I race the car often on the street and mostly back of the track in daily driver classes. I have a 100 shot of nitrous on it at the moment made up of spare parts from past builds and I just havent been real happy with the results.
5 sie 2002 · I have been toying with different ideas for adding power to my LT1. I want it to be a fairly aggressive street machine, but not too overboard. I keep coming back to the idea of twin turbos.
20 wrz 2023 · To me the LT1 engine (2nd Gen SBC) only has two significant things that differentiate it from the 1st Gen SBC - the Optispark distributor and reverse flow coolant system. To me, using the Opti keeps it a true LT1.
