Consumer Services. The Division of Medical Quality Assurance online service portal provides direct access to the division's online License Verification tool, which allows users to search the Division's database by licensee name or license number.
House Bill 943 created a “Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse” or “Clearinghouse.” The purpose of the Clearinghouse is to provide a single data source for background screening results of persons required to be screened by law for employment in positions that provide services to children, the elderly, and disabled individuals.
The State agency reviews the person’s arrest charge(s), makes a new eligibility decision, and notifies the provider via email to check the Clearinghouse Results Portal for the person’s new eligibility.
Background Screening > Livescan Fingerprinting. All Level 2 screening requests must be submitted electronically. (For Clearinghouse Users/Providers) The Clearinghouse allows approved providers to initiate a screening and make an appointment for fingerprinting online with a registered live-scan service provider.
Background Screening. The Background Screening Unit processes screening results for health care providers in Florida currently licensed by the Agency for Health Care Administration. Processing includes making a determination of eligibility and evaluating applications for exemption.
