4 lip 2019 · Spain’s national rail operator Renfe offers its premium high-speed train service, AVE, on routes between a few French cities, Barcelona, and Madrid and other major destinations throughout Spain. AVE trains reach speeds of 310 km/hr (193 mph), while still offering a very smooth ride.

Spain train travel is all via Renfe – Spain’s nationalised railway network, which operates the regular city-to-city, and inner-city regional train services, as well as the high-speed AVE train (Alta Velocidad Española which means ‘Spanish High Speed’), reaching speeds of up to 350 km per hour!

AVE trains are used on all services between Spain and France except for trains running to Paris and Toulouse (which use TGV inOUI trains). Within Spain, AVEs operate on many routes from the Spanish capital, connecting Madrid with Barcelona, Seville, Léon, Alicante, Málaga and Valencia.
