9 cze 2016 · I was getting this error when trying to install Atom using the installer. I tried to run as Administrator but ever having the same error. So I opened the Setup Log and found this line in many places of the log:
When you manually download and extract the zip file you need to run apm install in the package's directory afterwards to pull in any dependencies. This will download all dependencies and place them in the node_modules folder and recursively pulls in their dependencies as well.

19 lis 2017 · You can do that alongside your current version of Atom, there’s no issue having both on the same computer. Edit: Other releases here. 32-bit version is the link that’s just atom-windows.zip rather than atom-windows-x64.zip. Atom beta is here.

7 mar 2015 · Re-installation of Atom (and a few other apps) failed despite performing the steps above. It seems root cause is that the upgrade process messes with dir permissions and a lot of dirs (including some stuff in my home dir) become owned by "system installer".
