FM 3-21.5(FM 22-5) vii PREFACE This field manual provides guidance for Armywide uniformity in the conduct of drill and ceremonies. It includes methods of instructing drill, teaching techniques, individual and unit drill, manual of arms for infantry weapons, and various other aspects of basic drill instruction.
Burial honors and the composition of funeral escorts are described in Chapter 6, AR 600-25. The types of honors ceremonies that may be performed are described below. A full military funeral honors normally consist of, or is supported by, a 9-person funeral detail, with the following elements.
