21 mar 2024 · The Kimber was around $100 more money and I like the Commander size pistol, but the slide to frame fit and trigger was much nicer on the Kimber, and I really like 9mm in 1911 format. Good luck on finding your right pistol.
I've heard that Kimber seems to have more quality control issues because they sell more 1911's than any other brand. A low percentage of qc issues might seem overblown if you sell a significant number more than everyone else.
