Gen 2. The gen 4 is a pos since you will strip the set screw and find yourself driving to a fastenal to replace it. It doesn't hold timing well either. As mentioned earlier, go with the hogue and the kingpin. This is by far the superior setup.
The Gen 2 and 4 function about the same. The difference is how adjustable they are. In the Gen 2, the thing is held together by a screw opposite the maglock itself, on that plate thing right under the bolt catch. The way it's designed, you have to fit it snugly or not at all.
