22 lip 2023 · I wanted to do a PRAM reset but didn't seem to have enough time between pressing the power button to press and hold Opt, Cmd, P and R. I shut down and pressed those four keys before I pressed the pwoer button, but pressing the 4 keys was enough to boot it.
I read that you can reset the PRAM using Terminal this way: Close all apps and open Terminal (Finder > Utilities > Terminal). Enter sudo nvram -c and press Enter/return.
Settings that decide which disk will get booted, for example, or whether the mac will boot into safe mode, verbose mode etc. SMC cleans out the power settings and resets them to defaults, so if you're having problems with the fans, or the backlights or bluetooth, it can be good to do that.
