It does not matter if the mouse is connect via bluetooth or Logitech Unifying receiver. However when you connect the mouse via bluetooth to the iPad Universal works properly.

1 dzień temu · MacBook Air Mouse & Keyboard/iPad Connection issue. Since the Sequoia 15.1 update, I can no longer connect my mouse & keyboard to my iPad. Any feedback or suggestions would be appreciated. I gone through the setup steps again on both devices with no effect. It's worked perfectly until the update. There are no replies.
To prevent connecting your iPad keyboard and mouse or trackpad to your Mac, on iPad go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Continuity, then turn off Cursor and Keyboard. If Universal Control isn’t working
IF your ipad has a connected keyboard, holding "CONTROL" while moving your mouse back towards your mac screen will let it cross back over. However, going to display prefs and moving the ipad in arrange will fix the issue.
21 sie 2020 · Shut down your Mac. Force it to shut down if necessary, and then perform an NVRAM Reset: Reset NVRAM or PRAM on your Mac - Apple Support. If that does not immediately fix the problem, Contact Support to determine repair options. It's almost certainly repairable.
Rearranging the screens fixed the issue for me. Slightly shifted the iPad screen and placed it back. Transitions from Mac to iPad and vice-versa. Settings > Displays > Arrange
