Overseas military addresses must contain the APO or FPO designation along with a two–character “state” abbreviation of AE, AP, or AA and the ZIP Code or ZIP+4 Code.
Correct and Incorrect Military Address Formatting. APO, FPO, or DPO shipments should include the service member’s full name, “Unit”, “CMR”, “PSC” and number along with the box number. Incorrect addressing on packages sent to military personnel can lead to several negative outcomes.
