3 lis 2023 · The anterior tibial veins arise within the dorsum of the foot from the dorsal venous arch of the foot. They course superiorly and enter the leg by passing between the tibia and fibula. Through the leg, the anterior tibial veins course in proximity to the anterior tibial artery.
The anterior tibial veins (vv. tibiales anteriores) are the upward continuation of the venæ comitantes of the dorsalis pedis vein. They leave the front of the leg by passing between the tibia and fibula, over the interosseous membrane, and unite with the posterior tibial, to form the popliteal vein.
28 wrz 2024 · The anterior tibial veins originate from the dorsal venous arch in the foot, specifically from smaller veins that drain the dorsum of the foot and the anterior part of the ankle. These veins ascend the leg, following the path of the anterior tibial artery.
The anterior tibial veins drain the dorsal aspect of the foot and ankle, the tibiofibular and knee joints, and the anterior leg, including the tibialis anterior, extensor hallucis longus, extensor digitorum longus and brevis, and the fibularis longus muscles.

30 wrz 2022 · The deep veins of the calf are usually paired and include the anterior tibial vein, posterior tibial vein, and peroneal vein . The peroneal vein drains the posteromedial lower leg into the tibioperoneal trunk.
In this note, we will consider the anatomy, areas of venous drainage and anastomoses of the anterior tibial vein. The anterior tibial veins (vv. tibiales anteriores) are located on the anterior surface of the tibia.
