11 sie 2005 · I am having trouble deciding between the RD8 and the RD8-C. The C is a cut-way, which, as I understand it, has pros and cons - better access to the higher frets, but slightly poorer tone. Do you think a slightly poorer tone (probably very minor) will make that much of a difference for a beginner?

3 lis 2008 · I really want a solid top Alvarez, AD60SC or even a RD20SC but a solid top with electroinics so I can plug in. The AD60SC looks nice and one of the web sites I've been on has it for $399, that's $50 bucks cheaper then MF so I could do a price match and still use my CC from MF to buy.

Based on the type of label you have with the eagle, and the Made in Japan, I would have guessed your guitar was built in the late 70's or early 80's.

8 lis 2007 · The factory setup on this guitar was playable and decent, after about a month, I adjusted the truss rod and got rid of a little (minor) fret buzz.
This review is written from the perspective of value, specifically the typical investment of $200-300 for the levels of quality and playability. The RD8 is an older model dreadnought acoustic guitar that is very well made.
