Minnesota has a number of professional and semi-professional sports teams in various sports and leagues. Most are based in Minneapolis, though every major league team in the state is named for Minnesota itself.
Up to 10 hours may be claimed for: publication of a medical or medically related article; for each chapter of a medical or medically related book or other medical education materials; preparation of an exhibit displayed at a scientific medical meeting or other CME activity.
MDs and DOs are required 48 hours of CME every two years, 24 of which must be in formal Category 1 courses. The Texas Medical Board defines Category 1 as those courses designated as AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ or AOA Category 1-A Credit.
