16 cze 2022 · Sedona’s Airport Mesa vortex site is a small flat-topped red rock mound located at the bottom of Sedona View Trail. After climbing steep and uneven slick rock steps, you’ll arrive at an elevated viewpoint with excellent views over Bell Rock, Courthouse Butte and the tall eastern mountains.
2 maj 2022 · Go left to get to the vortex, following Aiport Mesa Trail (aka Summit Trail). Less than 200 feet in, you’ll climb a small hill (there are handrails to help), and arrive at the vortex! Go here if you’re not in the mood for an “actual” hike! Insider Tip: This is the easiest way to get to Airport Mesa Vortex.
This trail starts at the upper parking area of Sedona Airport and leads you to the Airport Mesa Viewpoint, also known as the Airport Vortex. It's a quick hike, but the path is pretty rocky and rugged, so watch your step. The lookout is the perfect spot to watch planes take off and land.
The Airport View Trail is an easy 2.3 km hike that takes you across Airport Mesa to a vortex site with a stellar view in all directions. You’ll be able to see 360 degrees across Sedona and the surrounding mountains and buttes, making for a very camera-worthy view.
