Adam Air Flight 172 was a scheduled domestic passenger flight from Soekarno–Hatta International Airport to Juanda Airport, Surabaya. [1] On 21 February 2007, the Boeing 737-300 operating the flight made a hard landing at Surabaya and suffered fuselage cracking in the middle of the passenger section.
On the New Years of 2007, or 1st January, 2007, Adam Air Flight 574 en route from Jakarta to Surabaya crashed while entering a nosedive into the sea and then disintegrated mid-air. The crash resulted in 102 fatalities, and this became the deadliest accident of Boeing 737-400.
