Look into Action Tour Guide. They have audio tours you can download. You will need a car to get around the battlefield, but they have places you can pull off and walk around. Depending on how much exploring you want to do, it's probably an all day event. I highly recommend the museum at the visitors center. Also, gettysburg square is great.
