We're in the process of hiring a developer at my current place of employment. About half of the resumes I've reviewed are 1 or 2 pages in length. The other half have over four pages of resume. One guy had a 8 page resume listing every tiny detail of every job over the past ten years.
I think I have pretty good work to show considering I've never worked in the industry (5 games on my resume, 2.5 years professional experience working with C#, CS Degree), but I'm not really sure what the expectation is and don't have people I can really get advice from on this specific topic.
Games look good in resume if the person who looks at it knows about game dev (which is common for programmes but not common for HR). Note that your resume usually will pass HR before it gets to the devs.
